The greatest gift someone can receive is the knowledge that there are people like you, people who care about someone outside of themselves.  The men and women who receive these boxes feel emptiness daily.  For them, this is not “just a box” it is a “Treasure Box”, filled with love, laughter and hope, it lets them know that there are people out there who actually care.

The Gio Brothers host a Christmas Party every year at each of their locations  to collect Shoeboxes (as admission to the party) filled with simple toiletries (see list) that are then delivered by Meals on Wheels when they deliver their daily meals to homebound seniors.  The event has grown so much, that the Gio brothers Shoebox Board now target local nursing homes to be recipients of these boxes of goodies as well.
